Both from different points in the world, with their love coming together as students in East London…
Magdalena moved from her home country of Germany to Hackney Wick in London for studies, where she met her future husband, Federico, who moved there from Uruguay. I absolutely love a story of two cultures coming together, especially when where they met isn’t either of their homes!
Magdalena and Federico now live where they met, in Hackney Wick, which has become a sentimental place for them, where they now both feel is “home”. The graffiti covered town is the perfect backdrop to represent M&F’s fun, bursting, colourful love that you can see so plainly on their faces.
I could see both of their comfortability in not only each other, but in the streets they walked as we shot this session. Moving away from your home country can be a difficult thing, making you feel you’re torn between homes… But M&F’s obvious love for their Hackney Wick home where their romance sprouted and grew could only be fate.
Their families will be flying in from all over the world for their wedding day, which will comprise of a traditional church wedding, followed by a boat ride to their reception. Their Monday wedding will be a super laid-back, champagne drenched summer party. Despite the gorgeous formality of a church ceremony, M&F’s day will be intimate, close, and non-traditional. Can’t wait to shoot their beautiful day!
