Adele and Joel’s winter wedding was such a vibe – I mean, The Depot N7 as a venue says it all really. But to top it off, they had an untraditional wedding cake and some seriously impressive dancing. Here’s a few of my personal highlights from their stunner of a London winter wedding celebration.
The gals booked gorgeous boutique hotel, The Londoner, for their wedding prep. Looking out over Leicester Square, its such a luxe space for a special day. These suites were the perfect setting for this London winter wedding!
Adele chose a classic wedding dress from Rixo. Rixo Bridal is absolutely THE place to hit up, if vintage-inspired wedding gowns are your vibe. They also have an absolutely banging range of wedding guest and bridesmaid dresses, IMO.
A dried flower bouquet, Gucci shoes and a beautiful headband were Adele’s accessories to this look. The florist, Ever Earth Co, kept it really natural with pampas grasses and foliage. The amazing thing about dried flowers in wedding bouquets is that they last for literally years! Waaaay more sustainable, too. I’m all about embracing the dried flower trends here at NC Photography.
With hair by Sarah Ashley and make up by Hollie Noelle, this bride was serving looks aaaalll day.
Adele also chose some statement Rodela earrings for her look. Handmade in New York, Rodela is all about joyful originality, which was definitely the vibe of A&J’s London winter wedding!
The Depot N7 is such a flexible venue. Whatever your vibe, they have a guest package to match. A&J’s wedding was a big party, and this venue adapted perfectly to their beaut event.
Obviously, December can be a pretty chilly month for an outdoor wedding… but Adele and Joel were ready for anything! No details left out, the venue provided blankets and hot water bottles for their guests to keep them cosy. Just shows, London winter weddings can be outdoor too!
Adele and Joel asked their friend, Lizzie, to be the celebrant at their London winter wedding. This was a super important part of their wedding ceremony and made it extra special. I absolutely love it when couples can personalise absolutely everything – even the legal bit.
The couple exchanged vows and bespoke rings made by Becky Dockree, a London based jeweller. I’m all about bespoke jewellery – check out my previous blog on why its the way to go.
A&J walked back through a huge confetti shower – what a vibe! They went for a colourful confetti option which was just so perfect for their London winter wedding. It brightened the walk back and was such a stand-out moment for the photos.
Adele and Joel wanted a few key family photos – I could call them untraditional formals! The pure joy from the couple and all the guests on this winter wedding day was just fire.
We snapped some photos under ‘The Deli’ sign at The Depot N7, Joel spun Adele around, which looked gorgeous with her vintage dress. I’m all about for blending vintage themes with newer wedding trends, A&J were definitely vibing with this.
Adele and Joel kept the speeches simple but meaningful. They each gave a speech and a really big focus of my photography was on the guests during this time. I’m so here for that! It honestly captures so many candid moments from the day and is such a sweet memory for the couple.
Aren’t these sparklers so amazing (below)? I love the fact that A&J had both a confetti walk and a sparkler walk too!
There are no rules when it comes to your wedding day – if there’s something that’s important to you, get some inspo from this day and make sure you include it!
A fun lil moment was the cake cutting. A&J had opted for a cheese tower in the evening, instead of the traditional wedding cake. They asked Tom and Ollie to make a bespoke one for them, and they definitely delivered!
What I really loved was their originality in making some homemade chutney – this doubled up as a wedding favour. So personal and unique! Chutney was just the thing at this London winter wedding, it was cosy, autumnal and delicious!
The dancing at this wedding was absolutely popping off. Adele and Joel had asked Tailored Entertainment to help them find THE perfect wedding music, and of course they delivered. The band was Alive and focused on indie covers and classic festival vibes. The guests loved them and the couple danced all night.
Adele and Joel, what a blast! Thanks for being your unique selves and giving us all some winter wedding inspiration!
